VP Reassures the Conditions of Sudanese Community in Ukraine

Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has reassured the  ttconditions of the Sudanese community in Ukraine following the recent armed clashes.
Through a phone call with the Sudanese Charge de’Affaires,  in Ukraine, Ukasha Al-Daw , Daglo pointed out to the efforts of evacuating the Sudanese nationals from the warzone.
The Charge de’affaires affirmed that the VP asked about the possibility of evacuating the Sudanese nationals to Sudan or to safe places.
He pointed out to the difficulties of direct flights due to the closing of the airport even in the bordering areas, hinting to the need of the Sudanese community to funds to enable them travel by road to neighbouring countries.
Daglo pledged to provide the required funds to transport all those who desire to leave Ukraine, pointing out that he will follow up the issue with the sovereign council and the foreign ministry.
He directed intensifying the media activities to make the Sudanese community aware of the checkpoints determined by the embassy.
The Charge de’Affaires affirmed that all the Sudanese nationals in Ukraine are isafe and that 40 to 50% of them were evacuated from the Ukraine cities, while some of them arrived in Romania and Poland.
