AUB Awards FVP with Leadership Shield for His Efforts in Achieving Peace

The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) has honoured the First Vice President  (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo by granting his the Leadership Shield and the First Peace Prize as an appreciation to his efforts in achieving peace in Sudan and the Republic  of South Sudan.
On his part, the FVP thanked the AUB for the initiative which he considered as a motive for the African leaders to exert more efforts  to achieve peace in their countries to cement the pillars of democracy and good governance.
He affirmed the progress in the implementation of the peace agreement, according to the prepared timetable,  pointing out to the commencement of the security arrangements in the upcoming days besides the completion of the formation of Darfur civilians  protection forces.
He added that all the citizens of Sudan are keen to enjoy peace especially in Darfur, South Kordofan and the Blue Nile, calling on commanders Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu and Abdulwahid Nour to join the peace process.
The FVP commended the efforts of South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Myardit, hinting that he deserves Noble Peace Prize,.
It is worth noting that the AUB has honoured President Salva Kiir with First Peace Prize and Peace Shield for each of member of the Sovereign Ciuncil, Mohammed Hassan Al-Taayshi, Chief of the Mediation Team, Tut Galwak and the Secretary of the mediation Dehio Matok.
