Sudanese Transitional Government and Armed Struggle Movements Sign Final Peace Agreement in Juba

Amid  international, regional, foreign and local presence, the Sudanese transitional government and the armed struggle movements have signed today (Saturday) in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan State, the long awaited  final peace agreement after one-year long negotiations.
For his part, First Vice President of the sovereign Council, Head of the Sudanese government delegation to the peace talks, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo wrote on his wall in the Facebook that they have signed the final peace agreement with the armed struggle movements which will stop the war to pave the way towards peace, justice and equality in Sudan.
Daglo said that the agreement, which he described as historical achievement,  is a gift to the Sudanese people who suffered the bitterness of the wars especially the IDPs, refugees and the families of the victims in the conflict zones in Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan.
He affirmed that the agreement represents the first step  towards silencing the guns and bloodsheds.
“Today we leave behind black era in our history. Together we will overcome the difficulties towards making our dream of achieving stability and development a reality”. Daglo wrote
