MEDIA STATEMENT

False allegations have recently been disseminated, claiming that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) stormed Al-Shuhada Hospital in Al-Droshab, located in the city of Bahri, and assaulted doctors there. We categorically deny this brazen act of disinformation.

It should be noted that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their allied militias presently occupy this hospital, where they treat their wounded.

We value the significant role played by doctors and medical personnel in serving the civilian population during this crisis. We have previously expressed our readiness to provide all necessary support and resources to enable these individuals to fulfill their duties. Furthermore, we have proposed the establishment of a joint committee to foster coordination and cooperation with medical personnel in areas under our control. Our aim is to ensure their protection and to address any challenges they may face.

We would like to emphasize that we will not hesitate to hold accountable any member of our forces who is found to be involved in misconduct against medical workers. We reiterate the directive issued by the RSF Supreme Command, which underscores the need to support in every way possible public service workers, particularly those working in hospitals, electricity facilities, and water stations.
