Transitional Sovereignty Council VP meets with the Trilateral Mechanism

The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo has met the Trilateral Mechanism, including UNITAMS Chairman Volker Perthes, African Union Special Envoy, Ambassador Mohammed Balaish and IGAD Envoy Representative, Mohammed Younis.
The meeting addressed Sudan’s current situation, in light of the movement between the political components to reach a rigid solution to the current crisis.
The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President praised the efforts of the trilateral mechanism in bringing the Sudanese stakeholders together, underscoring the importance of finding a solution and resolving any differences to reach a comprehensive agreement to form a government to complete the transitional period, he pointed out that the Sudanese people are wise enough to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing the country.
In a press statement, the African Union special representative in Sudan, Ambassador Mohammed Balaish described the meeting as constructive and fruitful, addressed the current developments on political arena through the steering committee of the Bar Association, as well as ongoing dialogue between the political components.
He noted that the Sudanese stakeholders will soon come to a comprehensive agreement, “We all see that we are getting closer to a satisfactory agreement for all Sudanese stakeholders” he added, it is the time to get together to focus on the political process, to help exit the current situations and normalize Sudan’s relations with its regional and international countries, resolve the current economic situation, as well as maintaining peace and stability in Sudan.
