The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has managed to rescue eight people who lost their way in the desert after their car broke down and they ran out of food and water.

Earlier, the RSF Desert Shield Division received a report from the families of the missing persons.

The RSF immediately moved to find the missing people under the instruction of RSF Colonel Ahmed Yousif Abdul-Aziz, the commander of the RSF Fifty-Fourth Division.

They were found 67 kilometers away near the Shafer-Let Military Base and evacuated to the base, where they were provided with medical assistance, food, and water.

Shafar-Let Military Base Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Othman Abdul-Majid stressed that the RSF is prepared to safeguard citizens in the desert and offer help when necessary.

He reiterated that the RSF will continue its efforts to protect the borders and combat illegal migration, human and narcotics trafficking, and all other crimes.
