Transitional Sovereignty Council VP visits Ginena Stadium for 'sport for peace' event

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has visited Ginena Stadium to check up on the preparations for an upcoming “sport for peace” festival to be held there under the motto, "Darfur Recovers from Ginena."

The vice president said the stadium has been prepared well for the event, as the local community continues to move forward with its efforts to renounce tribalism, racism, and regionalism.

He also praised the positive role of sport in helping to bring together disputing peoples. 

Dagalo thanked the Hilal and Marikh teams for taking part in the event. 

In turn, local football union members praised the vice president for his work to promote the safe and voluntary return of IDPs to their home villages.
