The reconciliation conference held between the Rizagat and Masayaria tribes has launched in Ginena today.
The event was attended by the State Security Committee, and representatives of state officials and native administrations.
Representative of West Darfur Governor Mohammed Zakaria stressed that the conference will bring immense benefit to the two tribes, calling on the native administrations of both parties to execute the agreement and apply it in practice.
He also praised the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Reconciliation and Peace Committee’s successful efforts to achieve peace, as well as the continuous support of Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo for the people of Darfur.
Meanwhile, Fifteenth Infantry Division Commander, General Amin Abd El-A’al Abd El-Rahim praised the RSF’s impactful role in bringing an end to tribal conflict in Sudan.
In turn, RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee Chairman, Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello said the committee addressed the problems facing the two tribes and successfully held a reconciliation conference over the course of just month.
