Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Um Dokhan Division Commander, Brigadier Hassan Salih Nahar has stressed that the RSF has managed to secure Sudan’s border with Central Africa and Chad and to settle tribal disputes in the country’s southern regions.
Nahar pointed out that tribal disputes have been a central factor for local residents impacting peace and stability. However, he said, the RSF has successfully imposed rule of law, while enhancing the social fabric of the community.
While discussing the deployment of RSF forces to secure Zalingi-Ginena Road, Nahar said the division has fought myriad acts of violence and halted transnational smuggling.
He added that the division covers areas such as Garaya, Abu-Gardal, Um-Sawri, Faleeg Galha, Faleeg Dokhon, and Um-Dafouq, as well as those alongside Central Africa and Chad.
Nahar praised the high level of discipline exhibited by the RSF and underscored that its arrival to Zalingi-Genena Road contributed to easing the movement of local citizens.
