Transitional Sovereignty Council VP supports dialogue to reach reconciliation

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has met in his office at the Presidential Palace on Monday with General Director of the Africa and Middle East Department of the German Foreign Ministry Philip Ackerman.
Dagalo stressed his support for all initiatives that contribute to achieving stability in Sudan.
He also praised Sudan-Germany bilateral relations, while underscoring the need to promote this relationship to advance the mutual interests of both countries.
The vice president expressed thanks to Germany for its efforts maintain stability in Sudan.
He also underscored his support for dialogue as the central strategy for achieving inclusive reconciliation, as the country gears up for elections at the end of the transitional period.
Meanwhile, Ackerman affirmed his country’s support for Sudan, noting the need to forge trust between all Sudanese parties and to engage in dialogue within the framework proposed by the UN and African Union.
