The Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) Twelfth Desert Shield Division has managed to rescue a Sudanese family stuck in their car in the desert, including a pregnant woman with five children.
The RSF Twelfth Desert Shield Division is deployed along the Sudan-Libya border.
Earlier, the RSF received a report from a man who stated that his vehicle had broken down along a desert road, leaving his family abandoned in the area, RSF Twelfth Desert Shield Division Commander of the Shafar-Let Military Base, Colonel Osman Ali Abd El-Magid said in a press statement.
The RSF immediately deployed to the area to locate and evacuate the family to the base and proceeded to provide them with medical support, shelter and other humanitarian aid.
Osman underscored that the RSF is prepared to deploy at a moment's notice to provide humanitarian assistance whenever and wherever necessary, to safeguard Sudan's borders and the movement of trade, and to fight trans-border crime, illegal migration and human trafficking.
