Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo was briefed today on the overall situation in Central Darfur State.
Dagalo met with Central Darfur Governor Saad Adam Babiker in his office at the Presidential Palace, with Acting Justice Minister Mohammed Sayed Al-Hilo and State Judiciary Ali Ismail in attendance.
The participants discussed myriad issues and obstacles that have concerned citizens in the recent past, as well as efforts that must be taken to facilitate the government’s work.
Babiker praised Dagalo’s support for helping to finish the Nirtiti-Zalingi Road, 10 kilometers of which remain to be completed. He noted that the first round of asphalting has already ended, and the vice president agreed to provide 4,000 gallons of diesel for these activities.
Babiker also thanked Dagalo for donating 13 vehicles to the state government and three to the judiciary. He stressed that they will help the government better patrol local areas and maintain security throughout the state.
At the meeting, all sides highlighted the importance of rehabilitating the Zalingi Mosque, resolving numerous challenges in the educational sector, particularly those facing primary schools, and developing the state’s 2022 project plan to boost local living standards.
