Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st lt. gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has discussed with an Egyptian delegation led by the Intelligence Chief, Abbas kamel, the course of the Sudanese/Egyptian relations besides the developments in Sudan and GERD.
During the meeting, which took place at Cairo airport during the transit of the VP flight from Russian to Khartoum , Daglo hailed the Egyptian supportive stances to Sudan considering the joint interests of the people of the two countries.
The two sides emphasized the importance of boosting the relations between the two countries, besides coordination in all issues.
Daglo announced that the two parties discussed the coordination on Jonglei Canal, affirming that Egypt does not support the military of the civilian components in Sudan, but supports the stablitity of the Sudanese people.
He said that an Egyptian delegation visited Sudan last month and met with the Sudanese military and civilian leaders to support the reconciliation between them.
