Daglo Directs Cancellation of Consulate Fees on the Sudanese Students Abroad

Within his official visit to Russia, Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has met today with the Sudanese community and the staff of the Sudanese officials in the Sudanese embassy in Moscow.
He briefed the audience on the present situations in Sudan in all aspects.
He also listened to the problems and obstacles facing the community especially the students and the Sudanese officials in study courses  in Russia.
The obstacles facing the students were the consulate fees for the students and the cost of issuing new passports as it amount to about US$200 per students besides the delay in receiving their bursaries, health insurance and housing fees.
Daglo directed the Ministry if Finance to cancel the consulate fees on students studying all over the world due to the dire conditions they are living. He also granted US$100 million to the Sudanese Community Fund to cover the urgent requirements , especially for students.
He also pledged to cover all the expenses of the Sudanese officials studying in the Russian universities till they complete their , affirming his commitment to follow up the problems of the students   abroad, lauding the respect and good reputation of the Sudanese community in Moscow, praising the Sudanese embassy in Moscow for its cooperation with the Sudanese community.
For his part, Finance Minister, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim promised to remove all obstacles facing the students and to review all the procedures in coordination with Foreign, Education, and Interior Ministries.
The Charge de ’affairs  of the Sudanese Embassy in Moscow, Ambassador Onour Ahmed Onour welcomed the VP and the accompanying delegation, affirming that the visit had achieved its goals, pointing out to the understanding aiming at building strategic relations to be added to the existent ones.
Meanwhile, The chairman of the Sudanese community, Fath Al-Rahman Mahmoud hailed the visit of the VP and the accompanying delegation, pointing out to the dicussions held with the Russian top officials.
