Transitional Sovereignty Council VP meets with Russian deputy defense minister

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has held talks today in Moscow with Russian Deputy Defense Minister, General Alexander Fomin. The talks concerned Sudan-Russia bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in the future.

Dagalo and Fomin underscored the need to intensify military and political corporation in the interests of both countries.

Dagalo praised the relationship and high level of corporation between the countries in all fields and voiced his appreciation for the warm reception show to the Sudanese delegation.

The vice president also highlighted Sudan’s enormous potential and the opportunities that exist for Russian investments.

Meanwhile, Fomin thanked Dagalo for his visit and said Russia is proud of its strong historical ties to Sudan. He added that his country is committed to improving cooperation and collaboration in all fields according to the principle of mutual respect.

Meet participants also included Chairman of the Commercial Chambers in Moscow, Ambassador Anwar Ahmed Anwa and Acting Military Attache, Colonel.l Dr. Abu Baker Abd Al Gadir.
