FV of the Sovereign Council Affirms Deep-rooted Joint Relations with Libya

Vice President (VP) of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo met today with a Libyan delegation which included representatives of businessmen and institutions in the presence of Darfur Region Governor, Mini Arko Minnawi.
FV affirmed the deep-rooted relations between the people of Sudan and Libya, emphasizing the necessity of pushing it forward towards broader horizons to achieve the aspirations of the two countries, wishing that the Libyan rivals reach consensus under a united country.
Daglo stressed on the necessity of intensifying the joint meetings in all levels to remove all obstacles hindering the trade movements between the two countries especially in regard to completing the technical procures of opening the crossing points and determining the customs check-points besides the establishment of free zone areas in both countries.
He pledged to avail the conducive environment for trade exchange and investment between the two countries, pointing out to the establishment of dry port in Al-Kafra town in Libya to receive the Sudanese products and goods.
The visiting Libyan delegation includes representative from foreign, finance and transport ministries besides a group of investors, commercial chambers, sea ports, customs, banks, and the Libyan embassy in Khartoum.
