Kas Locality in South Darfur State received the RSF humanitarian Assistance convoy dispatched by the rapid Support Forces Conflicts’ resolution, Reconciliation and Development for the Conflicts-affected Areas in Kas and Shataya.
The convoy was received by the executive manager of the locality, Director of UNAMID, resistance committees, Forces of Freedom and Change, local administration and women.
For his part, RSF spokesperson, Brig. Gamal Jum’a Adam affirmed that the convoy was dispatched according to the directives of the 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo toprovide relief to the affected persons in the recent incidents in Kas and Shataya localities, lauding the efforts of the government of the state and the regular forces in achieving security and stability besides assisting the citizens to return to their home villages and practice their normal activities.
Juma’a said that the convoy aims at providing shelter, medical treatment and foodstuff to the affected people in the recent incidents, pointing out that the materials will be distributed by the local authorities, regular forces and affected people committee.
The executive director of the locality, Salah Abdul Raziq welcomed the convoy, adding that it is not strange for the RSF to take the lead in conflict areas and provide assistance to the needy citizens.
Salah affirmed that the convoy will contribute in supporting the citizens and represented a good message for providing assistance to the affected areas.
