RSF Seize Explosives and ammunitions South of Sawakin

The Rapid Support Forces, the Red Sea Sector, managed to seize explosives in the Qabbul area south of Suakin, which included 69 (B-10) anti-armor and armored personnel carrier ammunition.

The B-10 rifle is a soviet 82mm (8.2cm) recoilless rifle, It was phased out of service in the Soviet Army in the 1960s and replaced by the SPG-9, remaining in service with parachute units at least until the 1980s. Although now obsolete it is used by a large number of African militias.

The Governor of the Red Sea State, Engineer Abdullah Shangaray, praised while standing on the police force, accompanied by the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Red Sea Sector, Lt. Col. Dr. Rami Adam Al-Tayeb, the growing national role of the Rapid Support Forces in achieving security and stability and protecting the country›s gains, referring to the forces› efforts in the social field, siding with citizens› issues and supporting peaceful coexistence among the components of society.

For his part, Lt. Col. Dr. Rami Adam Al-Tayeb, Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Red Sea Sector, explained that this seizure comes within the framework of the qualitative work of the Rapid Support Forces to maintain the security and stability of the country and protect the security of society, noting that search and combing operations are underway in the region.

Rami said that the seizure represents a security dimension that embodies the vigilance of the Rapid Support Forces, stressing the readiness of the forces to address all security threats facing society.
