FVP meets AU Commission Delegation

First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has received in his office at the Republican Palace, the Chairperson of the AU Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat and the accompanying delegation.
FVP lauded the efforts of the AU and its continuous endeavor’s to support the Sudan in making the transitional period a success.
He briefed the visiting delegation on the developments in the country and the efforts exerted by the government in dealing with it, pointing out to the implementation of Juba Peace Agreement through the matrix agreed on by all parties.
He called the AU to continue its support to Sudan in this stage towards democratic transition by the end of the transitional period.
He reiterated Sudan’s stance on the necessity of reaching a committed to agreement on the second filling of GERD.
For his part, the Chairperson of the AU Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat affirmed the readiness of the AU to provide support to Sudan to achieve the aspired democratic transition, pointing out that the AU is attempting to find out a solution to GERD crisis.
The UA visiting delegation included beside Moussa Faki Mahamat, the Chairperson of the Political, Peace and Security Commission, Prof, Mohamed El Hassan Ould Labat the Senior Advisor of the Chairperson of the AU Commission, and Ambassador Mohammed Baleesh the Head of AU Liaison Office  in Khartoum
