The Rapid Support Forces – North Darfur Sector –managed to arrest two criminals of the armed looting gangs which are active these days on El-Fashir/Nyala highway near Shangli Tobaya area.
The incident took place after three citizens were injured on Saturday evening when they were subject to shooting by an armed gang in Wadi Murra near Shangli Tobaya area.
The deputy RSF commander in North Darfur, Lt. Col. Mubarak Mohammed Abu Zaid said in press statements that an armed group attacked a 4WD vehicle onboard of which were 9 passengers heading from Nyala to El-Fashir.
He added that the gang started shooting the vehicle a matter that resulted to the injury of started shooting the vehicle a matter that resulted to the injury of three of the passengers one of whom his injury is critical, affirming that the central Reserve forces reported to the RSF on the incident after which the RSF moved to the area and managed to arrest two of the members of the gang while the third was shot dead during the clashes.
For his part, the spokesperson North Darfur State government, the general manager of Social Welfare Ministry, Ibrahim Musa Hassan lauded the role of the RSF in imposing the rule of law, adding that what is done by the RSF comes within its efforts to protect the citizens.
