The Sudanese delegation led by 1st Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo accompanied by Foreign Minister, Omer Gamar Addeen, and the Director of General Intelligence Service, Lt. Gen. Jamal Abdul Hamid has returned to Sudan from Eritrea where talks were held with the Eritrean President, Esaias Afwerki over the issue of the region, refugees and IDPs.
On his part, Foreign Minister, Omer Gamar Addeen said that the negotiations discussed the issues of the region and the present situation in both countries, besides the borders, IDPs and refugees who fled the violence in Ethiopia along with exchanging views on the strategic issues of mutual and the region’s concerns.
Gamar Addeen described, in press statements in Khartoum airport after the return of the delegation from Eritrea today, that the visit was successful as the two parties agreed on the continuation of cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries besides coordinating the stances on the regional and international issues.
