MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has successfully facilitated the arrival of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and an engineering team to the Bahri Water Plant, which has been offline due to the ongoing war.

These efforts are aimed at alleviating the suffering of Bahri residents who face water shortages. The ICRC and the engineering team have assessed the problems at the plant, which has affected the water supply throughout Bahri, and outlined the repairs necessary to restore its operations immediately.

We would like to assure Bahri residents that concerted efforts are underway to expedite the plant’s maintenance and stabilize the water supply. We are providing all the necessary supplies and will ensure the safety of the ICRC and the engineering team to allow for the swift completion of the repairs.
