MEDIA STATEMENT

In response to Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Commander, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo’s calls since the very first days of this war for the honorable members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) to align with the people’s choice, countless SAF soldiers of every rank and speciality have joined our side.

Today, we welcome Captain Mohamed Ahmed Adam al-Mamoun of the SAF 53rd Brigade in Habila, South Kordofan State, who has announced his decision to align with the RSF. The decision to align with the people’s choice that he and so many other SAF soldiers have already made bolsters our courageous personnel in the fight against the former regime, which aims to disrupt Sudan’s transition to civilian-led rule.

We cordially welcome all honorable SAF personnel who have so far joined our ranks and extend our call to others to align with the people and prioritize the national interest above all else.

In doing so, we can take down the former regime that has infiltrated and controls the SAF decision-making apparatus.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to building one professional national army, independent of political influence, dedicated solely to protecting our country.
