MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) welcomes the statement by the Executive Office of the South Darfur Civil Administration, declaring its full support for the will of the people and urging all honorable members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) to support them in their pursuit of freedom, peace, justice, democratic transformation, and resistance against extremist elements linked to the former regime.

The stance of the South Darfur Civil Administration and South Darfur tribes reflects the people’s strong conviction that it is time to sever all relations between the state and the former regime, which has usurped and hijacked the people's ability to implement their decisions and bring their will to life.

We call on other civil administrations across Sudan to align themselves with the will of the people, their desire for freedom, equality, justice, and civilian transformation, and their rejection of tyranny and the former regime’s use of the military as a means to serve their corrupt interests.

The South Darfur Civil Administration and South Darfur tribes have taken the right historical position by standing with the RSF, which, together with the honorable members of the SAF, strives to build a unified professional national army that safeguards our nation and puts an end to destruction and targeted killings of the Sudanese people.

As we engage in this war that was imposed upon us for reasons of which we are all well aware, the RSF assures the Sudanese people that we are resolute in our fight to end the reign of the power-hungry former regime, even if this means sacrificing the lives and well-being of our men. We emphasize that there is no longer a place for terrorism and extremism in our country. We remain steadfast in our unwavering commitment to freedom, democracy, and peace in a united Sudan, where everyone is equal in their rights and obligations.
