MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully engaged and neutralized a MiG fighter jet operated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in Kabbashi within the Northern Bahri region this morning.

Earlier today, the SAF initiated hostilities against multiple residential neighborhoods within the tripartite metropolis of Khartoum, killing and wounding civilians.

We extend our condolences to the bereaved and our prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.

The RSF successfully repelled the SAF offensive, neutralizing the MiG aircraft that was used to bombard defenseless civilians.

We are determined to break the cycle of violence perpetuated by the SAF and its extremist backers linked to the former regime of military dictator Omar al-Bashir, who aspire to regain power and reinstall their policy of tyranny in Sudan.
