MEDIA STATEMENT
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is proud to announce that 337 distinguished soldiers, originally from the Sixteenth Nyala Division of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), have decided to join our ranks.
Among the new recruits are a colonel, two majors, a captain, and several non-commissioned officers.
These soldiers have chosen to stand alongside the RSF, knowing that we are the true defenders of the Sudanese people.
They have expressed disillusionment with the level of control that the former regime of military dictator Omar al-Bashir exerts over the SAF and its reliance on opportunists loyal to extremists keen on regaining power.
These brave individuals have pledged to stand with us in our fight against those who threaten the people of Sudan, particularly the remnants of the former al-Bashir regime.
We remain open to all those who wish to join us in our fight against corruption, nepotism, and injustice, and in preventing the transformation of the SAF into a tool of the former extremist regime.
We warmly welcome these new allies. It is vital to note that the RSF does not seek to replace the SAF. Contrary to misleading rumors, our aim is to purge the SAF of elements of the former regime, who wish to quash the glorious December 2019 revolution.
The RSF is committed to promoting democracy, peace, and stability for Sudan.
