MEDIA STATEMENT

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) mourns the tragic loss of innocent lives in the recent tribal conflict in West Darfur.

We condemn the actions of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) Intelligence Department and those still loyal to the former regime of dictator Omar al-Bashir, who misuse their power to fuel these conflicts.

The RSF remains dedicated to democracy, human rights, and the establishment of a civilian-led government. We are keeping a close eye on the situation in West Darfur and strongly oppose any attempts to ignite tribal conflicts or spread hate.

We urge all tribes in Sudan, especially in West Darfur, to reject the divisive tactics of the former regime and stand united.

We call for an immediate end to the violence to prevent further bloodshed.
