TSC Vice President meets with the Directors of Africa Department in German, French Foreign Affairs Ministries

The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo has met in his office today, the Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa, and Sahel Department at the German Foreign Ministry, Christoph Retzlaff, The Director of Africa and Indian Ocean Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Bigot.
The meeting addressed Sudan’s relations with both countries, the ways to strengthen them in all fields for mutual interests, as well as the political development taking place in Sudan, the efforts being made to overcome the current crisis, pointing out to the importance of activating bilateral mechanisms with both countries, resuming development aid, and promoting trade, cultural and academic exchange.
The Transitional Sovereignty Council VP expressed Sudan’s appreciation for the efforts of France, Germany, and the European Union in bringing the stakeholders together, underscoring the exit of the military components out of politics and making way for civilians. 
His Excellency noted the challenges facing the implementation of peace agreement, particularly the implementation of security arrangements clause, noting the significant efforts being made by Sudan to enhance regional, international stability, especially in the area of combating terrorism and illegal migration.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Sub-Saharan Africa, and Sahel Department at the German Foreign Ministry, Christoph Retzlaff said that his visit came within the framework of German, European Union’s support for Sudan to complete the transition period, noting that his country will support all stakeholders to strengthen peace and stability in Sudan.
In turn, The Director of Africa and Indian Ocean Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Bigot expressed his hope for the Sudanese stakeholders to put an end to the political crisis, “This, in turn, will allow the transitional period to conclude successfully and culminate in free and fair elections”.
