Masayria and Awlad Rashid signs final peace deal in central Darfur

The Masayria and Awalad Rashid have signed a final peace deal to put an end to tribal reconciliation, under the supervision of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Central Darfur sector, after the recent incidents that took place between the two tribes the past weeks in “Tokaka, Jagma west” areas, Wadi Salih and Bindasi localities.
The reconciliation ceremony was attended by the RSF Central Darfur Commander, General Ali Yagoub Jibril, the reconciliation Committee chaired by Al-Sharatai Mohammed Salih.
The RSF Central Darfur Commander, General Ali Yagoub Jibril congratulated the reconciliation committee, joint forces, the disputing parties for conducting the peace deal, calling everyone to think wisely to maintain peaceful coexistence, social fabric of the community.
Meanwhile, the Native Administration of both tribes stressed their adherence to the agreement, to renounce war and any acts of violence.
Both tribes also lauded their appreciation for the role of the transitional sovereignty council vice president, RSF commander, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, General Ali Yagoub Jibril, joint forces for their immediate intervention to stop bloodshed and maintain peace and stability in the area.
