RSF Human Rights Unit receives the UN High Commissioner for human rights

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law Unit Executive Director, Dr. Hasib Johnthan Koko Hamad has received the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mr. Volker Turk in Sudan, in the presence of Chairman of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law in Sudan, Judge Jumma Al-Wakil, High Commissioner, Chairman of the Country Office for Human Rights, Anathed Zahanda on the sidelines of Volker Turk arrival yesterday evening in Sudan.
The Executive Director of Human Rights Unit, Dr. Hasib Johnthan welcomed Volker Turk, the new commissioner for Sudan, underscoring that the RSF is fully supportive for promoting human rights, international humanitarian law, as well as enhancing, protecting human lives in Sudan.
Johnthan stressed the commitment of the RSF to train and qualify their personnel through intensive workshop, seminars, training courses to raise awareness and knowledge on humanitarian law, international conventions, promote capabilities of its personnel to safeguard local population, and their properties.
