The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo has met today with the Yemeni Minister of Interior, General Haider Haidan, in the presence of Acting Minister of Interior, Police General Anan Hamid Omer.
The Transitional Sovereignty Council VP stressed the strong ties of fraternity between Sudan and Yemen, the importance of enhancing them in all the fields for both countries’ interests.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Minister of Interior conveyed thanks and feelings of gratitude of his government and people to the TSC vice president for the significant efforts being made by the Sudan to achieve peace and stability for Yemen, particularly Sudan’s contribution within Arab coalition to restore legitimacy for the state of Yemen, underscoring the importance of cooperation and coordination in security fields between Interior Ministries of both countries.
He said that the talks between the Yemeni Ministry of Interior and its Sudanese counterpart reached understandings, which he described as good in the field of enhancing and protecting regional security, during which the two sides agreed to exchange security expertise and training.
The two sides discussed the prospect of joint cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, human trafficking, narcotics, as well as regional and international security
