The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Human Rights and Child Protection Unit has organized a training workshop on International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, and Child Protection law in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Fasher state.
The training workshop aimed to train (200) trainees of RSF personnel to raise the awareness on the international humanitarian law.
While addressing the trainees at the opening session, RSF North Darfur Commander, Jedo Hamdan Ahmed “Abu-Shouk” emphasized the importance of such training to RSF personnel, saying that the RSF focuses on human rights and international humanitarian law as it is one of the basic and fundamental issues, as well as raising awareness of RSF personnel.
Meanwhile, RSF Human Rights and Child Protection Unit Chairman, Dr. Hasib Jonathan Koko said that the training workshop comes within the framework of series of workshops carried out by the unit, to enlighten, educate, spread awareness of rules of conduct and engagement, most importantly in the level of applying human rights on the ground
