The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo stressed that Sudan and Egypt are brotherly nations with strong, historical ties.
The statement was made during a meeting at the Presidential Palace with Republic of Egypt Ambassador to Sudan, Hussam Issa.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Khartoum and Cairo, and the ways to promote mutual cooperation in various fields.
In a press statement, the Ambassador Hussam Issa stated that the meeting focused on joint strategic projects between the two countries, underscoring the importance of coordination to achieve both countries’ mutual interests.
He said that the meeting stressed the importance of making use of potentials and opportunities of both countries to be used in the upcoming period, referring to identical of views addressed during the meeting.
Ambassador Hussam Issa said that the meeting also addressed the humanitarian aids provided by the Republic of Egypt to those who were affected by floods and torrential rains.
