Citizens of Al-Basabeer area in Shendi locality praised the Rapid Support Forces RSF for the support provided to the floods-affected people which swept the area two weeks ago.
The representative of the area, Hassan Al-Umda said, while receiving the RSF support convoy, that the presence of the RSF in the area and squelch of its leaders to inspect the affected people is enough even if they do not provide support, adding that the visit of the RSF raised the spirits of the people and reduced the feeling of the disaster as they felt that others are considering their sufferings.
He added that the Nile damaged the blockades and the houses besides the farms, but the RSF visit built bridges of hope in the hearts of the citizens, recalling that 1st lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo visited the area 5 times, concluding that Daglo is from us and to us as our brother.
For his part, the commander of the RSF convoy, Colonel Mohammed Al-Hassan expressed appreciation to the warm welcome and hospitability they received, affirming that the assistance came upon the directives of 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Commander in Chief of the Rapid Support Forces, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo to provide support and humanitarian assistance to 8 floods-affected states.
Al-Hassan affirmed that he will report to the high command about the suffering of the people in the area and the required assistance.
