Rapid Support Forces (RSF), second commander in chief, Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahim Hamdan Daglo received yesterday (Friday) delegations of the local administrations of Fallata and Rizigat tribes within the initiative to contain the conflict which occurred in Tulus in South Darfur.
Daglo accused some parties, which he did not identify, in escalating the tribal conflict in Darfur, describing the meeting as a real addition to resolve the issue.
He called on the local administration to cooperate with the security authorities to arrest the insurgents.
He added that the RSF managed to restore 20 thousand of the looted cattle, calling on the local communities to stick to peaceful coexistence.
For his part, South Darfur Governor, MAj. Gen. Hashim Khalid Mahmoud assured the important role of the local administration in achieving peaceful solutions for the conflicts. He lauded the role of the RSF ib containing the conflict and restoring the looted properties.
Falata Chieftain, Eisa Idris Yusuf said that the recent incidents contradicted the coexistence between the two tribes and their cooperation.
Rizigat Chieftain, Moahmmed Eisa Ilaw, expressed appreciation to the RSF for their quick respond in containing the conflict, pointing out that the two tribes are living in peaceful coexistence for hundreds of years without any clashes, emphasizing the importance of supporting the official efforts to overcome the conflict between the two tribes.
