Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has stressed that the government will provide healthcare services to the entire population.
He also thanked those individuals who are employed in the medical field who work under difficult circumstances, with low wages, in an unhealthy environment.
While speaking with the staff of Geneina Hospital, the vice president underscored that it is vital to fight those who have a hidden agenda, and to prevent nefarious actors from interfering in humanitarian work in the country, which is vital to promote peace and stability in Sudan.
He once again stressed that peace, dialogue, and cooperation are the only way forward.
Dagalo added that the demands of the employees of the hospital are legal and reasonable.
He also praised their work and patience and stated that he will resolve all existing challenges with the related bodies to support the needs of the hospital.
The vice president also ordered the state government to rehabilitate the hospital’s infrastructure and to conduct a professional study that will allow these works to be implemented correctly.
Dagalo also reiterated his appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for its continuous support for Sudan, particularly in West Darfur State.
The last package of humanitarian aid received from the UAE included five tonnes of medicine.
This support, he stressed, is provided free of all political motivations.
The vice president also instructed the local authorities to help IDPs return voluntarily to their homes, adding that their security and all necessary conditions and services will be ensured.
In turn, Governor Khamis Abd Allah Abaker praised the employees of the hospital, who work hard under difficult circumstances to carry out their humanitarian work.
He also thanked Dagalo for his immense support. He also thanked the United Arab Emirates, which, he said, continues to be a steadfast partner of Sudan.
