While addressing the families of the martyrs, the vice president conveyed Transitional Sovereignty Council President, General Abd Al-Fatah Al-Burhan Abdul-Rahman’s condolences, as well as those of his fellow council members and Chadian President Mahamat Idris Deby.
Dagalo was accompanied on his visit by West Darfur Governor Khamis Abd Allah Abaker, Deputy Governor Tigani Al-Tahir Karshom, Deputy Chief of Operational Staff, General Khalid Abdin Al-Shami, Police Representative, General Mohammed Ibrahim, General Intelligence Representative, General Abu-Obeida Mergani, SLM Representative, Ahmed Gardia, Sultan Dar Masaleet, Sultan Saad Abdul-Rahman Bahar-Din, the Sultan Rizagat Tribe, Sultan Mahmoud Musa Madibo, and Khartoum and East Darfur native administration leaders.
Dagalo stressed that Chad has already made significant efforts to recover the stolen funds and arrest the fugitives.
He added that the Chadian president is cooperating closely with Sudan on this matter and apologized for not being present personally to offer his condolences.
Deby also stressed that peace and stability must be maintained between the two countries and added that the ties between the two countries are fraternal and historical.
The vice president also criticized a statement issued earlier by the Chadian joint forces, which included inaccurate information.
Dagalo added that certain people and entities are working to spread hatred between Chad and Sudan, and they are using the recent incidents as a way to send negative messages to the people.
The vice president praised the patience of the families of the martyrs and thanked them for their cooperation with the regular forces.
He also called upon the people to be calm, to keep themselves under control, and to allow rule of law and justice to run their course.
