Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and his accompanying delegation have returned to Sudan after a short visit to Chad.
The delegation included General Intelligence Services Director, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mofadal and Military Intelligence Authority Chairman, General Mohammed Ali Sabeer.
The vice president was received at the Sibaira airport by West Darfur Deputy Governor Tigani Al-Tahir Karshom, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, General Khaled Abdeen Shami, Police General Mohammed Ibrahim Awad Allah, Intelligence General Abu-Obeida Mergani, and representatives of the State Security Committee.
During his visit, Dagalo and the Chadian president discussed bilateral ties between Sudan and Chad, how to best fortify them, and common areas of interest between the countries.
In a press statement after the meeting, Dagalo underscored that relations are “eternal” between Khartoum and N’Djamena.
He stressed that the talks also addressed security, border, and economic cooperation issues.
The vice president said that he and the Chadian president agreed on pressing matters discussed during the meeting. Practical solutions to border problems were addressed during these discussions.
