The Joint Forces, comprising the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Sudanese Army, and General Intelligence, have arrested 177 individuals who recently took part in tribal conflicts in Azirni in West Darfur State.

West Darfur Governor, General Khamis Abd Allah Abaker praised the Joint Forces for arresting the suspects. They were found with various weapons and motorcycles in their possession.

Recent tribal conflicts in West Darfur resulted in the deaths of several people.

Khamis stressed that no compromises should be made with those who break the law or infringe upon peace deals, which were recently signed under the supervision of Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

“The Joint Forces will fight anyone who endangers the well-being of the local population and their property,” Abaker said.

He also ordered the Joint Forces to carry out their duties without prejudice, underscoring that “your tribe is your military uniform” and “here, rule of law is your guiding principle.”

Meanwhile, Rapid Support Forces, Joint Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello stated that the forces are prepared to continue imposing the authority of the state and rule of law.
