The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) dispatched a huge humanitarian aid convoy to the affected people of the recent Blue Nile area incidents in the presence of each of Minister of Culture, Information and Social Development, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Federal Rule representing Humanitarian Disasters Supreme Committee , representative of the Ministry of Interior and representatives of the US Embassy in Khartoum.
For his part, Chief of RSF Intelligence Directorate and the head of the humanitarian aid committee, Maj. Gen. Al-Khair Abdallah Idris affirmed that the convoy comes within the continuous humanitarian aid provided by the RSF akk over the country, adding that the RSF Commander in Chief, 1st lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has directed the formation of emergency committee to provide aid to the affected people and accordingly this convoy comes in response to his directives, pointing out that other convoy will follow including environmental and dealing with the rainy season impacts.
On his part, Minster of Social Development, Mohamed Adam Bakheet hailed the humanitarian and services role which the RSF provide besides its role in protecting the people, adding that they as a concerned ministry in providing the required assistance are appreciating the role of the RSF in providing such generous assistance to our people in the Blue Nile.
Meanwhile, the representative of the Federal Rule Minister said that the role of his ministry in to coordinate with the community and the government institutions, commending the rapid response of the RSF, adding that they are used to the RSF leading role in such incidents.
Minister of Information, Dr. Graham Abdul Gadir affiemd in his address in the ceremony that the convoy represents the values and ethics of the Sudanese people in providing assistance to the needy people. He commended the RSF for its considerable contribution along with other regular forces in bringing about control and protecting the people, besides dispatching this convoy which came on time to compensate the losses occurred during the recent incidents in the Blue Nile area.
