UNITAMIS praises RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee

Envoy of the Comprehensive UNITAMIS Commission, Joint Sectors Committee Chairman for Ceasefire in West Darfur State Bagan Gannal praised the efforts made by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Reconciliation and Peace Committee to ensure peace and stability in Sudan. 

Gannal lauded the committee’s efforts to promote tribal reconciliation in Ginena under the auspices of Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

Bagan stated that the primary reason for his visit was to thank the committee for its work to sign peace deals between disputing tribes in West Darfur.

He also called on the committee to continue resolving tribal conflicts, underscoring that the international community is very concerned about and closely monitoring the progress with peace deals in Sudan. 

Bagan specifically voiced his appreciation for the committee’s work in Krink and Jabel Moon.

Meanwhile, RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee Chairman, Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello sent a congratulatory note voicing his appreciation to UNITAMIS.

Ambello briefed Bagan and his accompanying delegation on the committee’s successes in Darfur, Kordofan, and East Sudan, stressing that the committee will continue to actively support the strengthening of the social fabric and peaceful coexistence all throughout the country.
