Transitional Sovereignty Council VP: Security threats must be resolved without prejudice

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has inspected the Rapid Support Forces Zalingi Sector.
During the visit, he was accompanied by his fellow council members Dr. Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Hagar, West Darfur Governor Khamis Abd Allah Abaker, Deputy Chief of Operational Staff Khalid Abdin Shami, Police General Ahmed Ibrahim, Intelligence General Abu-Obeida Mergani, SLM Representative Ahmed Gardia, and Justice and Equality Movement Representative Mohammed Hussein Shareef.
The vice president reaffirmed the RSF’s readiness to fight security threats, human trafficking, and the narcotics trade.
He praised the level of peaceful coexistence in Central Darfur, underscoring that it is a “living example” of unity and peaceful coexistence for all of Darfur.
Dagalo also called on all soldiers to fulfil their oaths to protect justice and rule of law, maintain peace and stability, arrest criminals without prejudice, and defend the local population and their personal property.
He also reiterated the need to return IDPs to their home villages on a voluntary basis. “The regular forces must cooperate in returning the IDPs to their homes safe and sound,” he said.
