Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has arrived this morning to Zalingi, the capital of Central Darfur.
The vice president was accompanied on the visit by his fellow council members Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Hagar, Deputy Chief of Operational Staff, General Khalid Abdin, Police General Ahmed Ibrahim, Intelligence General Abu-Obeida Mergani, SLM Representative Ahmed Gardia, and Justice and Equality Movement Representative Mohammed Hussein Shareef.
The visit was aimed at monitoring security, services, and social situations, protecting rule of law, and addressing the best ways to voluntarily return IDPs to their home villages.
Dagalo was received by the state’s governor, Saad Adam Babiker, representatives of the State Security Committee and native administrations, youths, women, and politicians.
