Joint forces arrest armed con artists in West Darfur

The Monitoring Room Forces has managed to seize armed con artists who posed a grave threat to the well-being and security of the local population in Jabel Moon and Kalbs.
Joint Forces Commander, Brigadier Fathi-Rahman Hamad Ali said the joint forces have been dubbed "Monitoring Room" and include the Sudanese Army, Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Police, and Central Reserve Forces. Their main duty, he said, is to maintain peace and stability and to intervene when necessary to contain emergency situations in West Darfur.
Hamad added that West Darfur has experienced increasing levels of peace and stability in large part thanks to Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who has issued direct orders to ensure rule of law is secured in the area.
Meanwhile, RSF West Darfur Commander, Colonel Mohamed Naji Obeid announced that the joint forces have intensified their activities to eliminate security threats and have managed to take control of a dangerous criminal network with dozens of firearms, weapons, and motorcycles.
Obeid stressed that the RSF and the other members of the regular forces are ready to fulfil their duty to maintain security in the state and assist in tribal reconciliation.
Meanwhile, West Darfur State Police Director, Colonel Tariq Abd Allah Mohammed said the campaign to promote peace and stability will continue and cover all West Darfur.
