Central Darfur Acting Governor Saad Adam Babiker has praised the efforts of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to spread peace and tolerance in the community.
During his address at a ceremony in Jabel Moon dedicated to safeguarding peaceful coexistence and the upcoming agricultural season, Babiker said Central Darfur needs tolerance and peace, as well as a strong social fabric.
He stressed the importance of promoting rule of law and putting an end to sedition. He also urged the people of Sudan to work together to protect the agricultural season and secure both shepherd routes and farms.
Meanwhile, Head of the RSF Jabel Moon Sector, Colonel Salih Mohammed Adam Futti underscored that the RSF is prepared to secure the upcoming agricultural season and protect farmers and shepherds alike, adding that the conference is aimed at spreading peace and stability.
RSF Peace Committee Rapporteur Amir El-Din Yousif Adam highlighted that the conference was commissioned by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo to resolve community conflicts and support the Sudanese population.
