Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has arrived in Fashir this morning to attend the graduation ceremony of the first batch of 2,000 soldiers, who will join the regular forces to help maintain security and protect civilians throughout Sudan.
The vice president was accompanied by fellow council members Dr. Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Abu-Baker Hagar, and Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, General Khalid Abdin.
The training took place as part of the implementation of the Juba Peace Agreement security arrangements in Darfur.
Dagalo was received by Darfur Governor Mini Arko Minnawi, North Darfur Governor Nimir Abd El-Rahman, and the State Security Committee.
