Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has called on the people of Ginena to be united, integrated, and sincere to live peacefully.
While speaking at the opening of a cleaning and sanitation campaign organized by the Ginena Locality, Dagalo said everyone must work together to clean the city.
The campaign is a step forward toward maintaining stability and progress in the area, the vice president said.
The ceremony was attended by fellow council members Dr. Al-Hadi Idris and Al-Tahir Abu-Baker Hagar, and the governor of West Darfur State.
Dagalo praised the signing of reconciliation deals between the Arab, Massaleet, and Iringa tribes, adding that two more reconciliation agreements will be signed in the coming days between the Tama, Al-Awra, Arab, and Al-Gamar tribes.
The vice president also stressed the need to contribute to the voluntary return of IDPs to their homes, while noting that a fund has been established to support their well-being.
He also asked West Darfur State government employees to lift their strike, emphasizing that their rights will be protected and doctors will receive higher salaries – an issue which he said he will work out together with the Finance Ministry.
Dagalo also promised to provide the region with cleaning machines, loaders, tankers, and trucks, while stating that government resources need to be used transparently.
