Transitional Sovereignty Council VP: African Union plays indispensable role in dialogue process

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Commander, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has underscored the significant role that the Trilateral Mechanism plays in facilitating dialogue between all Sudanese stakeholders.
He pointed out that African Union has proved to be an important and indispensable part of the dialogue process.
In a post on his Facebook account, Dagalo stressed the importance of the African Union’s presence within the Trilateral Mechanism, and his hope that all work will be coordinated in accordance with clear and specific methodologies.
“Our primary aim is to accelerate the resumption of dialogue in Sudan,” he said. “This, in turn, will allow the transitional period to conclude successfully and culminate in free and fair elections.”
