Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has called on religious persons and scholars throughout Sudan to spread Islamic values and guide the people, while asking them to help put an end to tribal conflict, smuggling, sabotage, and hate speech.
While visiting the Mabroka Khalwas Compound for Quranic and Islamic Studies, Dagalo and his colleagues underscored the role of religious scholars in spreading faith-based values and strengthening the social fabric of the community.
He stressed that the Sudanese people should follow the fundamental values of Islam, which by their very essence seek to put an end to sedition, hatred, and animosity.
The vice president added that the holy prophet laid the cornerstone for democracy in the world, adding that people must show transparency and openness in all their affairs.
Dagalo also stated that resolving tribal conflicts in Sudan is a major priority – and that dialogue is the only way forward to help the country exit the current political crisis in Khartoum.
