The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Reconciliation and Peace Committee has stated that the arrangements have already been put in place to allow for the signing of a final peace agreement next Saturday between the Massayria and Rizagat tribes in Moon Mount, West Darfur State.
During a visit to the negotiation headquarters, West Darfur State Governor Khamis Abd Allah Abaker praised the committee’s efforts to resolve tribal conflicts in Sudan. He thanked the committee’s chairman, Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello, and the other committee members, while lauding their role in bringing together the conflicting parties.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, RSF Commander, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, in the accompaniment of a high-level delegation.
He added that both parties have agreed to the provisions of the peace deal, stressing that the vice president’s main concern is to maintain peace and stability for the people of Darfur.
